Domotex
Fair, one of the leading fair for the sector opens its floor
to worldwide visitors and exhibitors between 13 to 16 January
2001.
Every year more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries
and some 40,000 professional visitors from all corners of
the globe meet at DOMOTEX in Hannover. This leading event
for the carpet and floor covering industry worldwide boasts
a wide range of exhibits and an attractive supporting program.

Supporting program
Designers and architects are increasingly faced with new
challenges due to changes in the working environment as
well as changes in the demands of clients such as hotels,
restaurants and the retail trade.
At DOMOTEX 2001 the contract world award will be presented
for the first time for interesting solutions in the international
commercial contract segment. The award will attract the
interest of architects, interior designers and decorators,
as well as professionals in the field of furnishing and
design. Various workshops, lectures and events offer a platform
for intensive dialogue.
“Carpets tell a tale” - is the motto of Orient Performance.
This rather poetic title reflects the character of the display.
The Oriental architecture reinforces the spell of the rugs
and carpets exhibited. At this atmospheric meeting point
you will learn a lot about the history of oriental rugs
and carpets.
This workshop and forum on cleaning and maintenance is a
meeting point for the skilled crafts. New tools and techniques
are demonstrated live. The focus here is on applications,
cleaning and maintenance techniques for a variety of floor
coverings as well as floor construction work. Experts are
on hand to answer all your questions.
For the fourth time ever, exhibitors at DOMOTEX, in collaboration
with Deutsche Messe AG, will be presenting the DOMOTEX Business
Training event for up-and-coming specialist staff and management
trainees from the carpet and floor covering industry.
The event consists of seminars devoted to topics of relevance
to all of the industry categories on display at DOMOTEX:
from environmental protection and commodity science to design,
marketing and sales psychology.
